York Manufacturing Co. was found on September, 1874 in York, Pennsylvania by six men.
These six men were Jacob Loucks, Robert L. Shetter, Stephen Morgan Smith, George H. Buck, Henry H. LaMotte, and Oliver J. Bollinger
These six men form a partnership in 1885 and Stephen Morgan Smith become it first president. This the year the company introduced its first ice machine.
This ice machine was known as the Jarman Ice Machine. Jarman Ice Machine was capable of producing eight tons of refrigeration and was sold to customers in Mississippi.
George Jarman was the person, who started with the ice machine development. The first development was just the beginning for York Manufacturing Co.
York International markets their central air conditioner units under the brand names Coleman, Luxaire, and York.
It sells central air conditioner units and furnace for residential, light commercial and other hvac unit for industrial.
