Will It Hurt Your Central AC If You Run It Without Freon?

I read that I should leave my central air conditioner on for several hours to get it operational - it is blowing out hot air.
The Ac unit is 3 years old and paid 5 grand for it. I am broke after losing my job, penniless after I pay the mtg and utilities so need to save if I can.
So, I am trying to get AC to operate by allowing it to be on for several hours but wonder if it due to Freon will it hurt your central AC if you run it without Freon?
Dadan replies:
Oh no … It won’t hurt. I wish I could lie. Running a central ac unit without Freon is like throwing money away. Yes, it will hurt. I’m not sure how you determine the central ac is out of Freon. A Newer central ac unit should have low pressure switch to provide it from running on low refrigerant.
No … we NOT supposed to wait for several hours for it to cools. We turn the central ac on and a few second after it should cooling.
If ac unit is blowing hot air, there is something wrong with it. Don’t always presume that an ac unit is not cooling, because it ran out of refrigerant.
I’m embarrass to ask –
Huh … Have you change the ac filter or did some sure of maintenance? I understand that 3 years does not need serious maintenance.

Warranty
There are many reasons to WHY central ac not cooling and I would be crazy to list them all. You need to call your previous contractor to have a look at your central air units.
If there is faulty installation, it is his FAULT. You should not pay for labor. The central ac is only 3 years old. It shouldn’t have this sure of problem.
If the contractor thing, a part has fail, you should have warranty to pay for parts. Since the central ac is only 3 years old. Btw, the warranty DOES NOT cover for labor. You will need to pay that. Hope I help.
I apologize; it took so long to reply. I’m going through so many spam questions
