WE loved our Carrier

We have had our Carrier home air conditions for 26 years, and never had a problem
Had it serviced every year by the company that installed it. The only thing we ever replaced was the filters. Have absolutely no complaint about the product.

We have no basement. So we have one units outside and one in the attic and have loved it all the time we have had it. Now the problem is we have to replace the unit before it does need real service.

Have 2 carrier central air conditioner units. Serviced regularly and was told by Con-Ed go green team that they are about 78% efficiency. They are the original ones of the house which was built in 1987. Guess it's time for replacements?

Air con working fine through house,we have 2 control panel,one down stairs the other up stairs...the down stairs panel not working...have to run up stairs all the time to turn air con off

I purchase my home in 2003, it was built in 1998, and the Carrier central ac unit just failed (2010) I notice it had some repairs done before i purchase the house.

It seems strange that the central ac unit needed repair so quickly, the air conditioner unit did last 12 years but i was expecting a longer life, bottom line is that i will not trust that brand.

Bought my current house in 2008. Home warranty covered a froze up condenser fan motor. Central air conditioner unit has worked very well for me and past owner (who built house) Last owner left great documented history.

Having trouble finding parts for preventive maintenance. Most no longer available. Considering more efficient new unit. Carrier will be one of my considerations in this effort.

My Carrier central air conditioner was built in 1989 and it runs without problem.

I moved to my new home in 2003 and the central air conditioner hadn’t given me any problem yet. Older carrier does live to it names.

Hey, Brain

Is this central air unit in Canada? How often do you use it? It takes time to find leaks and without the right equipment, it can be difficult to find leak. You central air unit is currently using R22 and the newer central ac is using r410. Replacing the 11 yrs old central ac unit is the best option in my opinion.

we have a Carrier central air conditioner that is 11 years old. We noticed this summer that although we were getting air flow it was not cooling.

We called an authorized dealer who came out and said we were low on
ac freon. He replaced it which temporarily fixed the problem.

He said it would be very difficult to find where the freon was escaping from and we should probably replace the
central air units, because soon we would not be able to get freon. Can you please advise us as to what we should do.

Sorry about the extremely late respond and approving your question. You had it for 26 years, wow. There is adding benefit to replace it. You save energy as I was told. I mean, if it not broker, why fix it.
