loud, on the inside of the house

The noise is definitely coming from the blower on the inside of the house in the basement. I checked the outside unit and it sounds perfect.

The noise coming from the blower in the basement is more loud and intense than the normal sound. It sounds like it is about to bust.

Loud, shaky and just abnormal compared to when the unit runs. Our house is only 10 years old, it is the original air conditioner.

Had a new Trane air conditioner installed in March 2019. From the very beginning, when it turns on there is a very loud bang of metal on metal. Then when it runs it is so loud it drowns out the TV or radio. Not good - I've had the company back twice and I think they pretend they're trying to fix that loud bang but nothing has worked. Do not buy Trane air conditioners!

our ac didn't make noise when we bought the house.the house was built in 1983. it looks like same air conditioner. suddenly we hear this paruump sound when the ac is running. it sounds like the heating part of it is trying to turn on while the air condition is running and it does it off and on while having cool air.then one day it went out. called our warranty people and he changed capsiter which is connected to the I don't know but when he did that our cool air came in again. well, when the guy left ….there was the paruump noise again. however the cool air is still coming. now we wait to see if it goes out again. paruump a deep sound..like the heat coming on. I know you guys know what that sounds like. any ideas...

Same problem - Brand new Bryant ac and furnace. Fixed by determining fan had 5 speeds (only two hooked up at a time) and lowering top speed by one level. Ahh QUITE! Outstanding.

We had the exact same problem, outside unit Norman and inside furnace very loud and vibrating, we simply took out the filters and replaced them, it worked. I believe my husband forgot to write down the correct date he last changed it. Hope this helps

Had this happen years ago in a much more humid climate, but enough water builds up that it turns the exchanger into a block of ice! Try running your furnace for heat... yes, wiser at night or early morning, but its the only way to clear out the blocked air flow. This is causing your noises for the most part. Some hear the starter solenoid outside, others hearing their outside compressors with debris or bearing issues. If your AC unit is part of your furnace Central Air, then odds are you are dealing with a block of ice restricting air flow and causing the blower to sound like its coming apart. Good luck, expect to see your furnace's internal condenser unit, remove a lot of water while defrosting.

NEW TRANE IS VERY LOUD WHEN BLOWING. FOUND OUT A SIMPLE FIX FROM TECHNICIAN.IT HAS 3 FAN BLOWING SPEEDS THAT CAN BE ADJUSTED. PROBLEM SOLVED.

just had new Lennox system. air good but too loud and too much noise at most of the air registers. Will wake you and cannot hear TV. This will be fixed. Just paid 6000.00. Installer says he has idea but has not been seen or heard since. Stay away from small town dealers in North Carolina. Installers need training. Talk good game but not fixed three weeks.

This unit is driving me bonkers especially at night! So loud when it comes on you can't sleep. And if you are watching TV you have to turn up volume on TV. This was not a good purchase!

My inside handler makes a loud rumbling noise like a lawnmower starting up when we turn it on.
Have had an ac come and change the motor as it is under warranty but the noise is still there. It does not make the noise when turning on the heatpump onlt the ac. It is a Rheem. What could
it be. The ac man is stumped. He says that they will have to keep replacing parts until it stops.

Perhaps, the sound is not from indoor blowers, it could be the blowers surrounding environment. Had you check the duct-work connection.

The loud sound is coming from a source, and you will need to find that sources. You need to listen and look for the sound.

Having same problem. After two visits from A/C service still no resolution. Tells us everything is fine. Tighten everything and replaced capacitor with no resolution. Anyone?????

my central ac unit is doing the same thing. just wondering if you ever found out what was wrong with it. was it an expensive fix? now our's will not run at all.
