Water collecting inside the Central Air Unit

When my A/C runs for about 10 minutes, water begins to drip and collect inside the unit. If I don't pay attention and mop it up with paper towels, it will drip down onto the flooring, and seep out into my carpeting. It is a 20 yr old Carrier Crusader, cannot locate the model or serial no. I change the filter every 30 days year-round.
