Remounting front panels on an older Carrier AC unit

by Mary L
(Boston, MA)

I removed the 2 front panels/doors in order to change the filter, but I cannot seem to fit the bottom panel back in correctly.

I put the top door in first, then the bottom. The top one seems to be seated ok, but the bottom one will not; hence it does not connect with the button that will turn the AC system on. This is probably a 20 year old unit.

Which one you took out first? and which panel have screw?

Try putting the bottom panel first and the top panel last.
