I had Trane heat pump in my house for 33 years without major problems with it yet.

Trane central air conditioner is top brand in my opinion. The main thing is to do proper maintenance. You should clean the outside and inside coils once a year.

Changing the filters every 30 days is healthy for the
central air conditioner units.

Best in coastal environments

I have a 5 ton xe1000 unit installed in 97 and the compressor went out today. 14 years on the gulf coast (I'm talking 1 mile from the beach) the central air unit still looks perfect with no rust. Very pleased with how long this unit held up in my environment.

People on the island have gone through 2 to 3 units in the time I had this puppy. Time for another Trane. I'm not messing around with any other brands.

Still going ok with no problems

My Trane Hi Efficiency Weathertron heat pump is in AZ where it really gets used in summer. Not so much in winter. Its 20 years old.

24 yrs and just went put in in 1987 to 2011

MY father bought the house in cape coral Florida in 1999 and we look at the central ac unit, and we discovered it was put in 1987 we where thinking that we where going to replace it and to our surprise it another 12 years.

I want to go with a Train again but I'm not hearing that many go stories on the newer systems can anyone give me any advise.I heard lennox,reem, rude and carrier don't what to do.
