Goodman Condenser Blade Flew Off
Within three days of a new Goodman central air conditioner being installed, the cooling fan blades on the outside unit flew off the shaft and bounced around inside the unit damaging the cooling coils.
The central ac unit then overheated causing the compressor to shut off until it cooled down. The compressor then came back on until it overheated again recycling like this for days.
Goodman did not consider this a factory defect in workmanship. Further, without inspecting the unit, Goodman insisted no permanent damage occurred that would shorten the units's lifespan.
At the same time, they refused to back up their position with a 10 year parts and labor contract.
Unfortunately, my experience with Goodman AC units not only included poor quality but also a lack of integrity as demonstrated by their representatives.
It is quite apparent that this mindset and lack of customer service has been institutionalized within the company.
