Do I Have Central Air Conditioning

by Consumer

I live in a rental property... The thermostat says we have air but when I set it to cool it doesn't cool the house down.

We have a Carrier Furnace and I thought that was also the air conditioner but I cannot find the box outside, is there always a box outside or can it just be a cooling system in the basement with the furnace? I am going to be very bummed if the landlord did not tell us we don't have air.

Condenser Unit Are Outside
by: Dadan

It possible the condenser unit is in the roof. This is a rental property. It should have air conditioner unit.

Air conditioner unit removes heat from one location and transfer it to different location. It can’t be in the basement. The indoor unit are sometime in the basement, but not the condenser unit. The condenser unit are in the shape of around box or square box and it’s always outside.
