Central Air Conditioner Unit

by Joyce
(Greenville)

I just had Ac unit installed with the coil inside and the unit outside. Do I need a return vent? It is not cooling at all.

I would have been better off with a window unit; the installer says I don’t need a return vent but my neighbor has a similar unit and he has a return vent in the floor.

The coil was installed on top of my very old electric furnace does that make a difference I think I got ripped off. Please help it is a heat and air conditioner.

Return Line Vent
by: Shawn

Hey, Joyce

You meant return vent to the indoor unit? There is supply vent and there is return vent. You meant that right?

Yes, you'll need that for central air conditioner unit.

I wish you provide a picture for that!
