Central AC unit is on even though the thermostat is set on "heat"

My A/C unit is on - the blade in the condenser unit outside is running even though the thermostat is set on "heat" mode. The heat furnace is okay. In order to shut down the condenser unit, I was advised to use the fuse breaker... What could the problem be due to?

Is the compressor running?
by: Shawn -

Was your Ac compressor also run while the condenser fan operates?

If the compressor didn't run, does it runs sometime with the condenser units?

Basis on the information you provided. The contactor probably stuck and allowing the condenser and the compressor to run.

This is just my personal opinion basis on the information you provide, so take it as that.

By the way, help other homeowners by writing your review on your central air conditioner units.

Thanks in advance for help other homeowners.
