Central AC Power On And No Air

by chris
(texas)

I have a central ac unit that has been working fine last year. This year I have not turned it on except earlier in the year for winter (turned on the heater).

Yesterday I tried to turn on the AC just because it was so hot and I didn't feel any air blowing from the vents. I left the AC on and went outside to check out the unit and the fan on the outside is moving and making its normal noise.

I went back inside and still feel no air blowing through the vents. I know the temp is set very low so the air should be blowing and it has not. I changed it from AUTO to Fan and still no air.

Need More Info
by: Anonymous

The information doesn't tell you anything about the hvac unit.

The information need to be little specific. Ex. Outside unit run, indoor blower is not running, or the entire unit is not running.

Where is the answer please?

I have the same problem with my AC and was hoping to find some guidance here.

Carrier HVAC wall controller clicks, flashes "cool on," and the outside unit fan spins, but no air is coming out of my vents. None.

I toggled the AC off/on. I toggled the fan off/on. I reset the breaker switches. All to no avail. It is in the upper 90's here and feels cooler outside than in this house.
