Problems with new air conditioners are usually related to the installation procedure. Units that leak are often not properly checked for leaks when welded in. Adding refrigerant with home air conditiong systems is unexceptable unless the leak is found and repaired. The practice of constanly adding refrigerant to unis is a death sentence to it, and frankly the business is run amuck with this irresponsible and careless practice. your equipment no matter the brand is not to blame. Find a quality contractor to work with. Check all of their credentials, and ask them to provide you with proof. Do backgroung checks on them. It's relatively easy. The air conditioner is an expensive long term investment in your home and can be costlier in the future if you let the wrong company do it.
