Ac Freon And Noise

by Kenny
(FORT LEE NJ)

1. MY CENTRAL AIR IS 15 YEARS OLD, JUST CHANGED THE INSIDE UNIT RECENTLY.(OUTSIDE UNIT STILL WORK FINE.)

2. THE AC NEEDS 76 OZ FREON. BUT THE CONTRACTOR ONLY FILLED UP 55 OZ. HE TOLD ME, BECAUSE IS OLD UNIT, CAN NOT FILL UP TO 76 OZ.

3. IS THE 55 OZ FREON ENOUGH FOR THE AC? WILL CAUSE ANY PROBLEM IN THE FUTURE?

4. ANOTHER QUESTION IS: WHEN I TURN ON THE AC, I CAN HEAR THE NOISE FROM THE HEAT PIPE, "ci,ci....",SOUNDS LIKE THE AIR CAME OUT FROM THE HEAT PIPE.(ONLY FROM ONE BED ROOM.)

BUT WHEN THE AC OFF, THE NOISE GONE TOO, THANK FOR THE ADVISE.
